Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of 02File, a software-as-a-service platform operated by Creative Society Studios Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using 02File, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

1. Description of Service

02File is an AI-powered document management and triage platform designed for Canadian mortgage brokers. The platform connects to your email mailboxes, automatically processes incoming documents, organizes them to your designated cloud storage, and provides AI-assisted workflow tools.

02File is a productivity tool. It does not provide mortgage advice, legal advice, financial advice, or compliance certification. Any outputs from the platform’s AI features — including document classifications, compliance flags, and draft replies — are for informational and workflow-assistance purposes only and require professional review before any action is taken.

2. Eligibility and Account Registration

• —You must be at least 18 years old to use 02File.
• —You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account.
• —You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• —You may not share your account with others or use 02File on behalf of another person without authorization.
• —We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

02File is offered on a subscription basis. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring annual basis until you cancel. All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.

• —Free trial: New accounts receive a 14-day free trial. No charge occurs until the trial ends.
• —Cancellation: You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
• —Refunds: We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods except where required by applicable law.
• —Price changes: We will provide at least 30 days notice before changing subscription prices.

4. Your Data and Email Access

To provide the service, 02File requires read access to your connected email mailbox(es). By connecting an email mailbox, you grant us permission to read and process emails and their attachments for the purpose of delivering the platform’s features.

• —02File is a system of record: we retain the documents, extracted data, emails, and application data you process, so your files and history stay available to you. See the Privacy Policy for details.
• —We store sensitive government and financial identifiers (SIN, licence, passport, bank account) in masked form only — never in full.
• —We do not sell your email data or document contents to third parties.
• —Your data remains yours. You can disconnect mailboxes and request deletion at any time.
• —You are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to process the personal information of your clients through our platform, in compliance with PIPEDA and applicable provincial privacy legislation.

5. AI Features and Compliance Tools

02File uses artificial intelligence to classify documents, detect potential compliance issues, draft email replies, and provide workflow suggestions. You acknowledge and agree that:

• —AI outputs may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. They are not a substitute for professional judgment.
• —Compliance flags and document validation results generated by the platform are informational only and do not constitute a legal or regulatory compliance determination.
• —You are solely responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before acting on it, submitting it to lenders, or sharing it with clients.
• —We make no representations that the platform will detect all compliance issues or that its outputs meet the requirements of OSFI B-20, FINTRAC, AMF, or any other regulatory framework.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• —Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
• —Upload or process documents containing personally identifiable information for purposes unrelated to mortgage brokerage.
• —Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or extract any proprietary components of the platform.
• —Use the platform to transmit spam, malware, or any content that is harmful, fraudulent, or deceptive.
• —Share account access or resell access to the platform without written authorization from us.

7. Intellectual Property

All software, design, trademarks, and content comprising the 02File platform are the exclusive property of Creative Society Studios Inc.. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the platform. Your subscription gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the platform for its intended purpose during your active subscription period.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR FREE OF SECURITY VULNERABILITIES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CREATIVE SOCIETY STUDIOS INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF REVENUE, OR REGULATORY PENALTIES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Montreal, Quebec, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by prominent notice within the platform at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of 02File after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
